Job Description
Artist Proof Studio is looking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer in a full-time, permanent role.
Job Purpose: Working closely with the Executive Director, and accountable to the Board of Directors, the Chief Operating Officer serves as the strategic leader and prudent operational manager responsible for the performance of Artist Proof Studio, including art education, printmaking, art sales, and engagement with patrons and corporate partners.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and experience
- Tertiary qualification in visual art with specific training and / or qualification in printmaking.
- Three to five years’ experience in art education and / or in a commercial art organisation.
- Five years proven management experience at an institutional level in a not-for-profit environment, preferably a Public Benefit Organisation.
Knowledge, skills, and personal attributes
- Sound knowledge in disciplines relevant to the operational management of Artist Proof Studio as a centre of printmaking excellence and art education serving a public benefit purpose.
- Knowledge of the local and international. commercial art marketplace trends and practices.
- Resilient, resourceful, optimistic and energetic leader and manager with the ability to grow and sustain the Studio financially.
- Ability to connect authentically across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Effective performance management and development skills.
