ArtPulse is an open, user-submission platform. It exists to make contemporary art and visual culture easier to discover, share, and engage with. These guidelines help keep the platform clear, credible, and welcoming for everyone who uses it.
By submitting content, you agree to follow the standards below. We review submissions and may remove content or accounts that do not comply.
You are welcome to list events connected to contemporary art and visual culture that are open to the public. This includes exhibitions, fairs, talks, screenings, performances, pop-ups, and other forms of creative programming presented in accessible spaces.
Events can take place in galleries, museums, studios, estates, temporary venues, or alternative sites, as long as they are genuinely related to visual culture and are open access.
You may upload images and information that you have the rights to use, and you are encouraged to share events, attend them, and engage with the wider community respectfully.
To maintain a focused and trusted platform, certain content is not permitted.
We do not accept:
Events unrelated to contemporary art or visual culture
Open calls, job posts, or artist opportunities submitted as events – post those here
Events at private or members-only venues not open to the public
False, misleading, or intentionally inaccurate information
Spam, duplicate listings, or fake profiles
Unauthorised use of copyrighted material
Explicit, offensive, unlawful, or discriminatory content
Content promoting hate, harm, or harmful misinformation
We reserve the right to remove any content that conflicts with these principles, with or without notice.
You must have the rights to all images and text you upload. By submitting content, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to share it.
If a valid copyright concern is raised, we will review and remove the material where necessary. Repeated violations may result in account removal.
ArtPulse is moderated by a small editorial team. We review submissions to ensure they are relevant, clear, and aligned with the platform’s focus on contemporary art across Africa.
