Sithenjwa Luthuli presents a new body of prints that extends the visual language he has developed across painting and mural practice. Populated by his distinctive headless figures and recurring mask motifs, the works draw on ancestral memory while imagining identity as something continuously unfolding rather than fixed.
Working in print for this latest body of work, Luthuli distils his visual language without losing its intensity. The exhibition offers a fresh perspective on a practice that has established him as one of South Africa’s most compelling contemporary artists.
