Aspire Art Auctions is inviting consignments for its upcoming June 2026 auction, taking place at Trumpet on Keyes in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The open call presents an opportunity for collectors and artists to have works assessed and positioned for sale within Aspire’s established auction programme.
The consignment process begins with a complimentary valuation. Submissions can be made via Aspire’s online valuation form or by contacting a specialist directly. Each submission is reviewed by a specialist who will assess market value, suitability for sale, and advise on next steps. Valuations are typically completed within 5 to 10 working days.
For works accepted into sale, Aspire’s team provides guidance on timing, auction format (live or online), and location. Specialists also assist with pricing strategy, including estimate ranges and reserve prices, as well as practical considerations such as restoration, framing, and transport logistics. Private sales are also available for those who prefer not to enter the auction route.
Sellers should note that commissions, VAT, and associated sale expenses apply. These are clearly outlined and discussed at the point of consignment. Following a successful sale, payment of net proceeds is processed within 30 days of buyer settlement.
This initiative offers a structured and accessible entry point into the secondary art market, supported by Aspire’s specialist team and regional auction presence in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
