Reporting to the Senior Curator and Head of Curatorial Affairs, the successful candidate will research, develop and deliver exhibitions, publications and public programmes, working closely with artists, museum teams and partner institutions.
The role also includes managing exhibition budgets and timelines, mentoring junior curatorial staff and overseeing the Zeitz MOCAA–University of the Western Cape (UWC) Fellowship Programme.
Key Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Curatorial Practice, Art History, Museum Studies or a related field.
- 5–10 years’ relevant experience in the arts, museum or cultural sector.
- Proven experience in exhibition development, curatorial research, writing and project management.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora.
