Applications are open for the Social Impact Arts Prize Fellowship, an interdisciplinary programme supporting creative projects that explore how art can generate meaningful social and environmental impact.

Initiated by the Rupert Art Foundation and hosted by the Rupert Museum, the fellowship invites artists, architects, designers, writers, and other creative practitioners to propose projects responding to the unique context of Graaff-Reinet and the surrounding Karoo landscape.

Selected fellows receive funding and the opportunity to develop their projects through a residency programme, working in dialogue with local communities and institutions.

The 2026 theme, “Where Earth Meets Sky,” encourages proposals that reflect on climate, landscape, and the relationship between people and environment.
