Curated by Duduzile More and supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum, The Pursuit of a Glimmer is a Women’s Month group exhibition that considers reflection, resilience, and the moments of hope that can spark personal and collective change.
The exhibition introduces work by Austrian artist Jessica Adams alongside South African artists Yolanda Mazwana, Nwabisa Ntlokwana, Mummy Khumalo, Thato Tlatsi, Rina Noto, and Lebogang Mabusela. Together, their practices offer varied perspectives on identity, lived experience, and the ways women continue to support and reshape their communities.
The public programme begins with a pre-opening panel conversation on Thursday, 6 August (17:30–19:30), bringing together the participating artists and invited South African women for a discussion on solidarity, empowerment, and building more self-determined futures. An official opening and Women’s Day activation follows on Saturday, 8 August.
